About 3 years ago I bought my '87 for $1300 with 6000 on the odometer. My bike had brand new tires, a windshield, and 2 week old custom teal and black paint job. The last time I loked it up my savage was only booking for like $1000.00, I think the bike you are looking at is about $1200.00 to $1400.00 to high depending on the condition and if any acesories come with it ( saddle bags,helmet,windshield,new paint, ect.) Also the corrosion you are talking about is probably the normal corrosion we all have on the older Savages, its more the clear coat coming off than a corrosion though.
If the owner won't come WAAAAAAAAY down on the price then I say don't buy it.
